Islamic Obscentiy

If you have been wondering who is really running Pakistan, wonder no longer. A sharia court set up in a radical mosque in Islamabad has issued a fatwa against the Pakistani minster for tourism because she posed in an obscene manner for pictures that appeared in newspapers. I don’t normally post obscene pictures, so if you think you might be offended stop reading here. For the sake of my Muslim readers I’ve put these pictures below the fold.

Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

The self-anointed court urged the Government to punish her and fire her from the Cabinet. Now you would think that the Government of the country would pay no mind to a couple of brothers running an anti-government mosque and their demand for a Taliban state. You don’t go firing Cabinet ministers because a group of radicals demands it. Ha! You’d think.

Nilofar Bakhtiar failed to get the support of her colleagues. But then you have to consider the gravity of the offence. She’s wearing bright colours, she’s not wearing a veil, and she hugged her parachute instructor. Women have been shot for less.

After all, it was less than two months ago that a provincial minister was shot dead by an Islamic cleric because she was not wearing a veil.

And some people think all cultures are equal.

I completely agree with everything you said…

except… the fascistic bit about your culture. 😛

I didn’t say anything about my culture.

  3. salahudin says:

in literal terms, you didn’t say anything about any culture… but let’s not be like theist and try to twist your implication to suit your mood.

    Hi David,

And here I thought the Islamo-Twits were too cheap to shoot women, preferring instead, to stone them to death. This, I would think, means we can cut back on their foreign aid.
